Nature Reveals and Inspiration Begins

Many times people want to know where floral designers get there inspiration. Inspiration can come from anywhere, i.e., your favorite resturant or exotic location, a photograph, a fabric swatch, architecture, or even nature. For me, nature would be my biggest inspiration. If you've paid attention to nature's expression of Fall, you've seen a majestic explosion of warm colors as you travel in your car or take a stroll on a nature trail. The spice oranges, golden yellows, browns, red and burgundy's create a beautiful warm pallette as the leaves end there life span....it is really amazing. I found a photograph on The Cinderella Project that REALLY got my creative juices perculating! The monocromatic color scheme mixed with gray and white is simply beautiful. This would be a beautiful setting for a modern bride that is bold and wants to make a statement. Thank You God for your beautiful creations!

Candle Lighting vs. Florals

One of the most important elements for any event is candlelight. Lighting provides a very ambient and gorgeous glow among you and your guests. Most of all, lighting creates an evening of intimacy, makes it feel personal and sexy. More often, we are seeing more and more event designers replacing floral decor centerpieces with candle light in several different shapes and styles; making them the focal point.

Consider these tips when choosing candles for your event:
-Create stunning entryways with clusters of candles in varying heights
-Line a plank of wood with candles with a striking yet simple centerpiece
-Place candles on top of mirrors to reflect the glow upwards
-Place candles in bathrooms; this keeps the mood consistent.
-Make a beautiful backdrop with shelving full of candles.
