Blue, Mint Green, Ivory and Gold: 2012 Wedding Inspiration

Classic. Elegant. Beautiful. These colors working together, along with some sparkle, creates the three words we began with in this post. In fact, Chanel Spring 2012 Collection has this color palette in their newest fashion line. I am normally drawn to warm vibrant colors, but these soft colors are soooooo refreshing, cool and soft. The perfect color palette for Spring. I have put together a few photos that inspired me.

Marchesa 2012 Collection: Fashion Expressed Artistically

There are so many ways to make your wedding day special. Whether it is with amazing floral design (yes!) or a beautiful color pallette or even shifting the attention to the bride by wearing a jaw-dropping beautiful gown, chose something that your guests will never forget. That unique element is what personalizes your wedding and makes it unforgettable. So, to that end, I have chosen to focus on unique wedding gowns and spotlight some amazing fashion designs by Marchesa. If you are a Rachel Zoe fan, then you recognize the name. These ladies are UNBELIEVABLY talented! Their fashion creations transcends all the rules of fashion design and enters into their own world of fashion art. When you see there fashions, they literally make you gasp, stare and wish!!! Their fashion creations look like complex scluptures but remain to look soft, elegant and fashion forward. That is the feeling I try to create with floral design. I am always looking for inspiration, and these ladies really inspire me to diggggg deeper into my imagination.

Real Wedding: Farrah and McKell

I love it when you have a bride that knows exactly what she wants. Farrah was just that and was, no doubt, one of the most genuine and sweetest brides I've ever worked with. She absolutely loves textured floral designs and wanted texture in abundance. She wanted the flowers to have a rustic look representing all the Fall colors that would compliment the venue where she would marry her best friend. I have had the pleasure of doing several weddings at Wolf Mountain Vineyards in Delonega, Georgia. The winery is nestled in some of Georgia's most majestic scenic locations. Mountains surround the rustic location and fall foliages creat the perfect backdrop for a Fall wedding. Additionally, for you wine lovers, its a nationally recognized winery and cafe. Its a perfect get away and one of Georgia's best kept secrets.

Here is a sneak peak of some of Farrah and Mekell's wedding day details by one of my favorite photographers, Eric De La Force. His work is AMAZING!!! Details is what he is all about. He really captured some of the best moments of the day.

Thanks Farrah and McKell and many years of love, happiness and marital bliss!!

Champagne and Tangerine

The new colors for 2012 are taking their places. I LOVE this color palette that I am seeing in many of the fashion mags. Champagnes and oranges in different hues make a chic and modern statement. I have created an inspiration board to give you an idea of the colors working together. I love it!!!

Nature Reveals and Inspiration Begins

Many times people want to know where floral designers get there inspiration. Inspiration can come from anywhere, i.e., your favorite resturant or exotic location, a photograph, a fabric swatch, architecture, or even nature. For me, nature would be my biggest inspiration. If you've paid attention to nature's expression of Fall, you've seen a majestic explosion of warm colors as you travel in your car or take a stroll on a nature trail. The spice oranges, golden yellows, browns, red and burgundy's create a beautiful warm pallette as the leaves end there life span....it is really amazing. I found a photograph on The Cinderella Project that REALLY got my creative juices perculating! The monocromatic color scheme mixed with gray and white is simply beautiful. This would be a beautiful setting for a modern bride that is bold and wants to make a statement. Thank You God for your beautiful creations!
