2013 Color of the Year: Emerald Green

Thinking of going green this wedding season?  If so, you are in line with Pantone, the name responsible for declaring emerald green as the color of 2013.  According to Pantone, emerald green is lively, radiant and lush.  The color represents elegance and beauty as well as enhancing our sense of well-being, balance and harmony.  Pay close attention because you are going to see emerald green popping up in all areas of weddings, fashion and who knows where ever else!  If done correctly, the jewel tone beauty can really make a gorgeous statement.  We decided to play around with the color and came up with this emerald green inspired wedding style board.  To our surprise, the board turned out to be gorgeous, full of radiance, energy and pure beauty.  What do you think?

The Inspiration
My inspiration was this Fab Gucci Python Bag.  The jewel toned emerald green coupled with metallic gold and black look incredibly chic together.

We choose blooms that were striking, simple and beautiful. Most of all, they are not your ordinary wedding blooms.

Panache Wedding Lounge Areas

Wedding lounge areas have really taken on a life of there own.  Even though the trend has been around for a few years, they have become sooo much more creative, elaborate and dramatic.  They create a really inviting area for guests to relax between eating and dancing.    Whether you have flowing fabrics, stylish furniture, glowing uplighting or even haystacks; a creative designer can really create the perfect lounge area anywhere.

Chicago Style Wedding: Beautiful, Classy and Sophisticated

I love beautiful weddings!  I came across this wedding while browsing the internet.  I am showcasing this wedding for two important reasons, attention to detail and fantastic photography.  Apparently this bride knew exactly what she wanted.  She and her wedding planner, Anika of Anika Kai Events, really left no details to spare.  The ceremony was held at a majestic cathedral in Chicago, University of Chicago Rockefellar Memorial Chapel, where she kept the ceremony clean and classic.  The reception was held at Hotel Sax Chicago, a suave and luxe hotel where she showcased so many details, from dramatic draping, elegant centerpieces, luxurious linens, a fabulous cake and a showstopping glossy black dance floor.  Thanks to an awesome photography team, Miller + Miller Photography, they captured every detail of the day.  I am a huge fan of talented and creative photography and encourage every bride to invest in a great photojournalistic photographer in your area (or outside); especially if you have lots of details.  You will be happy you did once you see photos like the ones below.  Beautiful wedding and congratulations to the new and sexy young couple!!!!!

A Royal Wedding, Atlanta Style

It was a pleasure working with Kristen to plan her very own royal wedding.  Since her new last name was going to be "Prince" she decided to create a theme of purple royalty and chose The Biltmore, here in Atlanta, to bring in all the royal elements and the beautiful sparkling oversized crystal chandeliers.  With the expertise of Eliana of EllyB Events, they incorporated every detail to make Kristen's wedding a beautiful and classic event that will look timeless for many years to come.  Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Prince!!!
